Why should I make my speech?

Everybody understands how important is to set certain objectives and to be sure in what you say. Of course, you have to be prepared, and it's not only about making speech, but also about preparing yourself psychologically, that's why we should ask ourselves some questions:

- Why should I want to talk about this?
- Why should anybody want to listen to me?
- What need in the audience do I want to have satisfied when I have finished speaking?
- When they all walk away what state would I like them to leave in?

Let's look at the examples and answer the questions.

1. If I were a school teacher and had to give a speech about childrens' behaviour I think I would answer "because once I'll have my own children'' to the first question. I am sure that it's essential to make children understand, that parents will not advise bad things and if they listen to them they will succeed in lots of things.

The second question is an easy one: people should listen to me because the information I'm going to give them is useful and helpful for anyone, who is going to have a child or work with them at least.

I think that people should be satisfied with the idea of my speech and how I bring arguments to my point.

Finally, when everyone's gone I want people to remember what I have said, even if at least one thesis will be remembered - it's a great result. For example the idea of how parents can motivate children or why it's important not to punish kids too much.

2. Talking to teenagers is much more complicated than talking to adults. Of course, teenagers are not children anymore, but not that smart and grown up either.

I must talk to teenagers about this problem because we'are having a shift altogether and there is no other choice but somehow make relationships with each other, so if they don't learn how to do it properly it will be a spoiled holiday for everyone.

The second question is hard to find the key to because teenagers sometimes do not listen to any one and it's hard to make them understand how crucial this point is. Probably, they will not want to listen to me, but I have to bring arguments, otherwise there is no way out of this situation.

Teenagers appreciate your life examples and experience, that's why it's useful to share with them and they will trust you - that's what they must be satisfied with.

In the end, I want to see the fire in their eyes, I want them to understand that any new person is someone who can give you more, than you think, and you can do the same in return.

3. This is a contest that's why it's more than important to be convincing.

According to my own experience - embarrassing moments are not that embarrassing at least because you never know how people understand this or that situation. You feel it in your shoes and you're unable to change your poing of view because you're emotionally stressed out.
And it's true not only to me, but for everyone who has ever felt this way.

As I have said, this information is useful for everyone, because all hard periods of time (even embarrassing moments) give us precious experience, make our character stronger.

As soon as it is a contest, the audience must be satisfied with all parts of my speech according to the evaluation chart, from the practical point of view, of course.
But from the point of the emotions I must bring up good, valuable examples.

Finally, everyone should understand that everything that happens - turns out to be the best in the end, that's why they mustn't be afraid of making mistakes and never stop.

All in all, it's quite hard to answer the questions of how to make your speech better, but it's definately important.
